The Encounter (2019)

The Encounter is a quick animation I did in my last year of university. The concept was to represent this idea I had of a boss fight encounter with a few characters I modeled from scratch to see the difference in both time using the software, and the software itself. One was created as a first time experience in Maya (The Shooter, that I dubbed as "Kaleb"), and the other I created after three years in 3DS Max (The Spirit, that I dubbed as "Paradox"). 

The models clearly show a difference, as I had much more experience in 3DS Max than Maya at the time. However, I still liked the end result given how both were fully modeled, rigged, skinned and animated completely by me. Plus, it was a great test for Maya's animation capabilities. I do look forward to remastering this animation soon!
